Organizing schools talks in your country

One of the most effective ways of campaigning for a future without animal cruelty and encouraging a change in attitudes is speaking in schools.

However, organizing school talks is not an easy task and there are many aspects that need to be taken into consideration, such as finding and training potential speakers, what topics to speak about, developing suitable materials, how to approach schools, what teaching methods to use, following up and getting feedback from the teachers, and so on. I would, though, like to say that it is one of the most satisfying and worthwhile things you can do.

So if you would like to know more about doing this but don’t know where to start, a briefing is now available on the EVU website to help you.

The briefing covers areas including: setting up a school talks service, topics, relevant school subjects, understanding the national curriculum, educational materials, recruiting and training school speakers, approaching schools, teaching methods, following up and getting feedback, and other groups.
