Widnau is a small town (8000 inhabitants), situated in the Rhine Valley near the Austrian boarder (2km). It is the geographical, commercial and cultural centre of the lower part of the valley and offers all the facilities you may require. Widnau is about 10 min. from beautiful Lake Constance, 60 min. from Zurich, 25 min. from the Principality of Liechtenstein and from St. Gallen, the main historic, cultural and educational town of Eastern Switzerland. St. Gallen hosts a world famous abbey library (second only to the one in the Vatican), a baroque cathedral and world famous university. The unique Appenzell countryside and Alpstein mountain chain can be reached in 30-40 min. by train or car.

The Congress Site The newly built regional sport centre includes all the necessary facilities. A Cyber Café will be arranged. The variability of the Centre’s accommodation achieved by the system of mobile partitions provides a wide spectrum of conference facilities up to total capacity of 700 places. Covered parking for 250 cars. Excursions Wednesday will be reserved for excursions. Visits to ‘Heidiland’ and other famous regions of Switzerland, Austria, Germany, the Principality of Liechtenstein, are possible. (Extra programme will follow! Excursions are not included in the registration fee.) A great vacation area!
