*Amendment to clause 13.1

(The union has an executive committee made up of the Chairman, the Secretary and the treasurer of the board): After his or her resignation a past president (chairperson) may remain a member of the executive committee in an advisory capacity.

For your guidance, ordinary proposals should:

  • Be proposed by paid-up members
  • In the interest of economy and clarity, not exceed 100 words
  • Propose some form of action
  • Propose one single action - i.e. they must not be composite proposals
  • Not simply express a statement of opinion

Members considering submitting special proposals (those seeking to change the Memorandum of Associa Invitation to the Annual General Meeting of the European Vegetarian Union, July 20, 1999, at 19.30 on occasion of the EVU Congress at the Sportzentrum in Widnau tion) are advised to contact a member of the executive committee for guidance. Proposers are requested to limit their proposals to two.

Nominations for board and executive committee

Nominations for members to serve on Board or Executive Committee must be made in writing, signed and received at the secretary's office not later than May 1st, 1999.

In accordance with clause 10.2 of the constitution, only non-corporate persons above the age of majority can become a board member.

Each nomination should be accompanied by a profile of the candidate stating, in 100-200 words, his/her full name, skills, experience, views, and intentions, if elected.

Members are reminded that all members, meeting the criteria outlined above are eligible.

Only paid-up full members (not individual or associate members) have a right to vote in the AGM.
