We all know that especially in the Eastern European countries the conditions for vegetarians are rather difficult. Krzysztof Zolkiewski from Poland wrote that he tries to spread the vegetarian message through news-paper articles, letters to the Health Department and by giving public lectures. He is alone, although he is working as the 'Vegetarian Promotion Movement'. In the last ten years he has seen a change in the attitude of Professor Ziemlanski of the 'Food and Nutrition Institute' who once strongly recommended a diet which is based on meat but now is a supporter of a 'semi-vegetarian diet'.
